zoho booksWhat’s in a name? These days a lot – if your name happens to be Karen. Who knew that “being a Karen” would become a thing? I try to keep a really low profile, especially if I am unhappy with one of my service providers. And I try to give positive reviews whenever possible hoping that I can convert those “Karen Haters” one person at a time.

I was recently asked by a colleague whether or not I was still happy with my move from QuickBooks to Zoho Books. My answer? Unequivocally YES!

You can read my previous articles about the merits of Zoho Books and my experience in moving from QuickBooks to Zoho Books but the bottom line is YES, I am quite happy with my move from QuickBooks to Zoho Books. That says a lot coming from a Karen!

Since we’re talking about accounting here’s the bottom line:

  • Zoho Books saves me money. My merchant service fees have gone way down. Rather than paying for the high priced Intuit merchant service account (and having to pay for the QuickBooks support in order to send invoices) I can now use any product I wanted.
  • Zoho Books saves me time. My employees can prepare quotes in CRM which I can double-check and easily convert to invoices.
  • Zoho Books saves me more time. I have automated invoice reminders going out at regular intervals.
  • Zoho Books saves me even more time. When I update a contact’s record in CRM the Books record magically updates as well.
  • Zoho Books works with multiple contacts at the same company. I have some clients that literally want their invoices sent to 4 people. Or they want some of their invoices going to one contact, and other invoices going to another. QuickBooks couldn’t do that but Zoho Books can.
