For years, I ran events focused on ACT! CRM, helping users get the most out of their system. I held a number of Launch Events every time a new version was released. In 2000 I held an event that attracted over 500 users for the launch of Act 6. I also held events for new releases of Act at venues ranging from the Panther Arena to Nova University. I also held monthly “brick and mortar” Act Users Group meetings. However, with each subsequent event, the attendance number kept dwindling. I switched to holding online webinars for Act CRM. However, at a certain point I realized there just wasn’t much new to talk about. The Act updates were few and far between, and the new Act versions were comprised of bug fixes and compatibility updates. Honestly, it felt like I was repeating myself. That’s when I knew it was time for a change.
Enter Zoho CRM
Since shifting my focus to Zoho CRM, it’s been incredibly rewarding to see how excited former ACT! users are when they experience the flexibility and innovation Zoho brings to the table. Features that used to be wish-list items in ACT! are already built into Zoho, and the constant improvements keep things fresh. Watching people light up when they realize how much more they can do in Zoho than in Act never gets old. I went from holding monthly webinars to having 2 webinars per month. My Zoho users excitement about Zoho was contagious!
