This version of Act! represents the first version of Act! released under Swiftpage. And, because versions are now going to reference the version number and not the year it is called V16. If you want to think of it as Act! 2014 that’s fine!
We’re really excited about this version of Act! because it adds more new features than any previous release. But don’t just take our word for it – see it yourself! Go to my You Tube Channel for video demonstrations on all the features.
New features include:
- Mobile Groups/Companies
- Mobile Email
- Tablet
- Calculated Fields
- Company Management
- History List
- Scheduler sends email

Back in 2014 I purchased the above version of ACT, which was used for a newly formed company on a laptop. Since then the laptop has been wiped clean and therefore we have lost the license key. Now when we have reinstalled the software, it only gives us a 30 day trial
Is it possible to get a license key, so that we can use our copy of ACT?
I am an ACT user since 1995. I have now been retired for 5 plus years. I purchased a Laptop from Dell in March and they assisted me in migrating the data related to the Microsoft windows, but they would not help with ACT. I became ill and I needed a surgery and I am just now getting back to needing migrate ACT and my 29 years of contacts, history, notes, personal appointments, etc. from my 2014 personal desktop computer. I have ACT! Pro version 16.1.207.0. that I purchased with a perpetual license and upgraded periodically. I contacted Act they tell me that they do not not support that version and they can not upgrade that version. The only option they give me is an annual subscription which which I can’t fit in to my retirement budget. I’m sure new version has lots of improvements that might be valuable. But I am a single user that just wants to migrate my 29 years of history and keep track of my personal mostly medical appointments. Is what Act is telling true that they can not upgrade from my version.? Is there anything that you that could suggest that we keep me from the annual subscription fees?
Unfortunately, what you were told by Act! is 100% true. Yes, you will have to pay an annual subscription of $360/year (or more) if you want to continue using Act!. And no, I do not know of a simple product that would manage your contacts, notes and appointments free of charge. The best I can offer is to export all of your Act! data into spreadsheet format. I could also import that data into a less expensive product like Zoho Bigin for $84/year.
