I feel your pain. No one likes to make a purchase and then find out that something as basic as this doesn’t work. There’s a reason why I moved from Act several years ago; I also got tired of things that were broken and/or didn’t work. Sadly, you coould have moved to Zoho One for $444, had a much larger allotment of emarketing sends, and used AI to help create renewal emails.

I can’t believe I got hosed by Act yet again. I just paid $540 to move to Act “Professional” so that I could continue to use Act Marketing Automation. I was told it would be necessary to send out renewal notices to my clients. What they failed to tell me is that I couldn’t include dates in my templates. Can someone explain to me how you could possibly send out renewal notices that don’t include a date????? I feel like Charlie Brown; the football has once again be moved. Does Zoho include e-marketing and is it less costly than Act?

Act Marketing Automation (AMA) requires the Act .api in order to work. Unfortunately that service was down at Act which prevented you from using AMA, the Act Mobile app, or any other part of Act that is dependent on the web .api. Hopefully it will be fixed before too long. Tired of Act support issues? Try Zoho!

AMA works fine I suppose. I wouldn’t know because I can’t get it to work consistantly on my Act Premium Desktop version.

There are many ways to increase “sendability.” First and foremost, make sure that every contact you are sending to has a valid email address; if AMA is forced to skip too many contacts the send will stop. Another tip is to include the recipient’s name in the body of your email template; that helps your email get past spam filters.

Because Act Marketing Automation is sending out your email using their servers it’s important that you create a “DKIM” record that associates your domain with the Swiftpage servers. This article shows you how to create the DKIM record: https://help.act.com/s/article/How-do-I-set-up-DKIM-in-Act-Marketing-Automation-prem?language=en_US

Finally, Act Marketing Automation’s Dashboard is designed to show you how many emails were sent, delivered and the open rate. However, the dashboard results can take up to 24 hours to appear and will keep updating for at least a week so keep checking back to the AMA Dashboard.

I’m not sure that my AMA campaign got sent today. Any ideas?
