2023 started off with a bang – particularly where Zoho is concerned. Over the past 12 months Zoho has released over 150 enhancements. Here are a few of my personal favorites:
- Roll Up Summary fields: This will give you a count of key touchpoints (number of deals, calls, etc) on a per contact basis.
- Global Picklists: Many of my Act! conversions created some really messy dropdown lists. This feature not only allows you to use the same drop down in a couple of areas (ie, Account, Lead & Contact) but it’s also a great way to clean up your existing dropdown lists.
- Admin Tools: Many of my former Act! users went a little crazy when they first moved to Zoho and ended up creating tons of templates, views, automations, etc that were rarely – if ever – This allows you to easily find and remove them.
- Lock Records: If you have old contacts or Deals you can “lock” the records so that no one can get in there and change things.
- Multi Select Lookup Field: Prior to this release Zoho was capable of creating a “one to many” relationship. For example, you might be a manufacturer with a list of serial numbers. In Zoho CRM you could create a Serial Number Module and link each serial number to a Contact Record. However, let’s look at another scenario: Training Classes; in this example you have many classes with many students attending each class. By adding a multi-select lookup field to your Classes Module you can associate multiple contacts with each class that you hold.
You can read more about all the new functionality here.
If you don’t see some of these features you might not be signed up for the Early Access program. Let me know if that’s the case and I can walk you through adding that.
